Fuel Economy Page

So found a new dealer. They were checking everyday and last week they said that there was some updates for the cluster and other things.

Went in today and waited almost 3 hours for the truck to update and would like to report all issues except one were fixed by the update. I am so happy that the fuel economy page now works as expected and how everyone has described.

The only "issue" left to resolve is the seat to remember the last massage setting that it was on like it is supposed to but in the grand scheme of things, don't really care. Just so happy I found a dealer who immediately went to work to solve the issue and was able to fix it.

Did you do an "over the air" update or did they have to plug in with there scan tool and force the update. Can you give us anymore info on the update, like a version number or something so the rest of us can explain it to our dealers and get the same thing done without jumping through so many hoops.

They plugged it in to update all of the modules. there was nothing available OTA thank god. I would have hated and been too scared to do it OTA honestly. I work in IT and for firmware level updates I would hate to do it OTA and have it fail and be stuck with a brick that I would have to tow in.

There was 6 total upgrades, I think 2 for the cluster, 2 for the radio, the transmission (I think) and something else.

I wish they gave you some paperwork or invoice showing which updates were done specifically. Going into these dealer and asking for updates and all they say is they aren't aware of any updates is frustrating.

I will have it here in a couple of hours. They haven't had a chance to email it to me yet

JFC, my dealer is checking everything out... wires, plugs, keeping it over night to cold start. My MPG does exactly what is described here so I took it in and asked for them to check for firmware updates for the cluster and any other updates they might have. Going to turn into a few day ordeal now. I'm not sure what is so hard for them to understand the MPG should not be ticking down second by second when you have the MPG set at 450 miles.

That was my frustration then I found a dealer who was willing to drive my truck and another truck and saw what it was doing and said that it wasn't right and found a couple of updates which fixed that issue but introduced a new issue where it won't remember the last setting of my intelibeams (auto high beams). But I don't care my fuel economy page works perfect now and that what I liked.

Yea, I don't get. It seems like good service centers are hard to find by me. Clearly when you are sitting there idling and the MPG is set at the last 450 miles, it should not be dropping a tenth of a mile every 2 seconds. So frustrating. I kind of feel petty but the cost of the truck and it can't do a simple MPG is frustrating.

I completely agree. For the amount of money they force us to pay the least they could do is get the software correct

I just crossed 10K miles on my truck yesterday. Always leave the 1st trip meter as my lifetime trip meter. But on my 23 AT4X, the trip meter stops at 9999.9. So I guess it has a 10K mile limit. Kinda stinks, I like having a lifetime trip meter for fuel mileage, avg speed, etc.

I am waiting on resetting it to zero until I get my new tires and wheels on, which I hope to be by this weekend. Going 295/60 R20 Nitto RG's on 20x10 -19 offset WORX wheels. The WORX and new Nitto tire are about 10 lbs heavier per tire/wheel than current setup of my 18x9 -18 Fuel Contra wheel on 34x11.5 R18 Nitto RG. The WORX wheel is about 5 lbs heavier than the Fuel Contra, and the 295/60 R20 Nitto RG is about 5lbs heavier than my current 34x11.5 R18 Nitto RG. Height is almost exactly the same, a bit wider tread on the new tire. I expect a little worse MPG given the 10lbs more spinning mass per wheel of the new setup.

My LM2 also maxed out on the trip meter at 9999.9 km so I wrote it down and can avg. the readings down the road when I want to. :)
