First Time Owning a Diesel

I'm on my second Sierra 1500 AT4 with the 3.0. First was a 2021 with LM2 new one is a 2024 with LZ0. They are equipped exactly the same except for year difference updates.

Traded my white '21 with 57800 miles. Never any trouble and loved it. Just ran whatever diesel was handy and got my Blue DEF at Costco. Also got my maintenance done at the local GMC dealer. Only $90 for an oil change!

I can feel the extra pep of the LZ0 in my new volcanic red truck. I really like the new tech and the interior updates & features. It came with the 20" wheels & high clearance running boards. I sold the running boards back to the dealer I bought it from and got AMP research power steps put on it. Then I swapped my 20" wheels & tires for a set of new 18" AT4 takeoffs at another dealer. I prefer the smaller wheel bigger tire look.

The one thing I didn't like about my old truck was the tires. The wrangler tires on that '21 were so stinking loud my wife was begging me to replace them. So at only 12K miles, I got Toyo Open Country AT-3s & loved them. I figure if these Goodyears are as loud as the others, I'll be putting Toyos or Nittos on it because I have a buddy who works at the Toyo (and Nitto) plant and he can get me a deal!

I'm about to replace my 34x11.5 r20 Nitto RG's. I usually only get about 25K out of a set of AT tires (have gone with Nitto RG for years, but same mileage on other brands in the past), as a contractor and living in a long winter climate state, that is just how it goes. With winter season soon to be here in Montana, I am in need of a new set of tires soon. If your buddy can hook me up with a discount on Nitto RG's, shoot me a PM! No worries if not!
