Just got myself a sweet Aipas M2 Pro Max e-bike and plan on breaking it in on a camping trip end of July. Since I’ll be pulling my 23ft travel trailer, a hitch mounted e-bike rack won’t work (I don’t want to mount a rack on the bumper of the camper… too much movement back there going over bumps on the highway). I have a Retrax Tonneau cover with the t-tracks, Yakima bars, and Rocky Mount bike rack, but I think the bike will be too heavy, even with the battery removed. Researching it, I don’t think it will fit in the bed with the tailgate closed unless I remove the front tire or tonneau cover. Here are the options I’ve come up with, but I’d like any other ideas from the braintrust:

1) Store it in the camper, lightly secured (not the easiest to execute, but doable)
2) Lay it down in the truck bed, on top of a blanket to protect the paint (doable, but not ideal), and my 5000W generator is also in the truck bed.
3) Buy a front mount hitch and bike rack for the front of the truck (expensive for the couple times a year I would use it)
4) Use my Yakima bars and rack to mount on top of the tonneau cover, and hope it’s not too heavy for the bars or rack (risky, and difficult to put a heavier bike on it)
5) Remove tonneau, and use my motorcycle wheel chock and ratchet straps to secure the bike in the bed (doable, but not ideal. And still not sure if it would fit straight in or if it’d have to be at an angle to close the tailgate)

That’s all I’ve got. I asked A.I. and it came up with some of these options, but I don’t know how much I trust it. Anyone else have any ideas?

The bike weighs about 80 lbs with the battery removed, with most of the weight being the rear hub motor.
