Factory undercarriage coating

Can anyone tell me why the hell GM would this bullshit grease undercoating on an off road truck?? I drove through a little brush the other day and there are streaks of bare metal all throughout the under carriage. With the south Texas humidity I’m already seeing some surface rust just days later.

I would like to strip this BS undercoat and put something more durable. Any recommendations on a solid product or solution?
