Factory Front Shield/Diaper Under Engine

Is there a shield/diaper under the engine from the factory? I was poking around my truck before an upcoming trip and noticed that water has splashed up through the engine bay to the underside of the hood. There are also several unused fastener locations along the front air dam.

I don't know about the X, but every other truck from the work truck to the Denali sure do.

Never seen any water in the engine bay or under the hood and I live in wet PNW
