If you could talk your dealer into flashing the BCM for Surveillance Mode. You can kill all lights interior and exterior. It’s a program for Police vehicles.
So gm took that ability away also, for the do it yourselfers, with a ground wire on the refreshed? If you could talk your dealer into flashing the BCM for Surveillance Mode. You can kill all lights interior and exterior. It’s a program for Police vehicles.
Not that I need this but will look into above instructions. So gm took that ability away also, for the do it yourselfers, with a ground wire on the refreshed?

News to me but maybe GM decided not to sell LEO vehicles. Doesn’t add up to the 24 and 25s I’ve been in but they are Gov vehicles. So gm took that ability away also, for the do it yourselfers, with a ground wire on the refreshed?

It’s dealer only programmed now bc of Global B architecture.
Super strange that turning the knob to the left doesn't disable your lights. When in drive and with the headlights in auto mode, when I turn the knob to the left and let it spring back, it disables all the lights when in drive on my 24 1500 AT4.I have a 2023 Sierra 1500 AT4, and I was wondering if there is anyway to disable the lights while in drive? Trying to sneak into my hunting spot with lights on is just crazy. My older GMC, I was able to turn light switch to far left and all light would go off.
I tried it several times ...I would have thought the same thing.... I bought my 23 used with very few miles on it ... I was told it came from Canada... maybe a Canadian thing "A" ?Super strange that turning the knob to the left doesn't disable your lights. No, GM thought it was “OK” for a few years that you couldn’t turn off all of the exterior lights for some idiotic reason. Automatic lights from GM had the ability to be completely disabled since the 90s. In 2019/2020 GM decided you couldn’t turn off the daytime/exterior lights ever. But I guess they pissed off the right people making their vehicles always have headlights and taillights ON.I tried it several times ...I would have thought the same thing.... I think that's the case. I confirmed in my 21 AT4HD the lights can be disabled in drive as well.I tried it several times ...I would have thought the same thing.... I bought my 23 used with very few miles on it ... I was told it came from Canada... maybe a Canadian thing "A" ?
You guys keep saying "in drive" so are you saying you must shift to drive in order to turn them completely off? What happens when you move it into park? It sounds like I need to take the cat off-roading tomorrow to test my lights... any excuse to off-road is a good one and the cat has not been out adventuring in far too long so he's due.I think that's the case. You could if you had yourself a set of NVG's.I don’t know if I can turn all mine off or not but when I’m hunting I drive the last half mile to my spot with only running lights on and the fogs only if I need them. That really does not put out a lot of light compared to the headlights. No way I could make the drive n full dark mode
Install Infrared lights on the front and use an infrared headset/glasses; I think that would work.No way I could make the drive n full dark mode
I was going to say something similar except using a night vision camera into the infotainment system. I believe the goggles would be more practical though because you could look around more although I wouldn't be mad having bothInstall Infrared lights on the front and use an infrared headset/glasses; I think that would work.
I have a thermal scope for my rifle, i could use that but NVG's i think would be more practical. I have driven with NVG's before, its not to bad, but you depth perception is a bit wonky.I was going to say something similar except using a night vision camera into the infotainment system.
