Dashcam

Not as cool a feature as many of the posts out here, but if someone is looking for a dashcam, the FitcamX is a pretty good option. What makes it unique is that it looks OEM, rather than stuck to the window. It replaces the shroud around the rearview mirror, giving it a natural look. It comes with a Y adapter cable that allows you to tap into the existing power behind the shroud.

There are several reviews and installation videos out there that are easily found.

I was going to buy from Amazon, but ended up buying direct from manufacturer.

Amazon only sells 128GB model for front and rear, for $269. I was able to buy direct with a 64GB MicroSD for $219. Then I bought a better 128GB MicroSD from Amazon for $15, so saved $35.

Amazon charges tax, whereas direct doesn’t, since it is shipped direct from China, 8% savings there.

Finally, was able to get 10% off through a discount code I found in a review video (techjeff), and there are several discount codes out there.

Free shipping direct vs $12 via Amazon.

Ended up saving almost $70 by ordering direct. Of course, return policy is not as good as Amazon, but I don’t plan to return the cameras.

Ended up buying one for me and one for my daughter’s car.
how hard was it to install rear? i just got a new truck and never done any installs like this before, front seems easy, just worried how hard it is doing the wires to the back.

Wasn't very hard at all. Was able to push the wiring around the ceiling fairly easily, especially with the tool they provide. There is gap/space around the airbags that allows to easily hide the wires. Was able to tuck up under the door frame. This biggest pain is that there is soo much wiring, as the cameras are made for SUVs and cars, so have a lot of cable length. Just took awhile to push it up near the rear window. Several YouTube videos out on there on rear dashcam install, and it is pretty much the same.
