Coolant smell

I have smelled it with my 3.0, but as far as I can tell, there's no loss of coolant.

I haven't noticed or smelled anything from my AT4X. I will pay more attention.

Anyone smell anything like coolant when you get out of your truck?

Maybe it's normal? Maybe not? I'm not loosing coolant. Just just don't understand why my truck has me craving waffles everytime I exit it.

I can honestly say, I've never heard of this.

I am not saying it is happening but "back in the day" The fluids would expand out into the overflow tank and steam for a few moments when you parked before the engine cooled changing the pressure and drawing the fluid back into the radiator. I have no idea if these new systems do the same thing I honestly haven't spent very much time under the hood because of my spine injury .

They just replaced the coolant sensor in my truck and I smell a strong coolant smell. I plan on dropping by the dealership while I’m in town to check this issue out.

I bought mine used 29k miles. Could smell a faint sell. Took back 3 times no luck. So I used flour and dusted the area where I and drive it. Used a black light/ flash light and the coolant glowed orange. It was leaking between the tank and core. I think it was vaporizing and never caused a wet area until the flour tired into a past. At dealer now being replaced.

I have not smelled any coolant lately but I will keep this in mind when and if I smell the coolant again. I have not seen any wet areas but will keep a close eye on it. Thanks for the info
