Check engine light

Good morning all. Last week I got a “980 miles to empty” for my DEF and the check engine light came on. I refilled the DEF but the check engine light won’t go off. I drove at 70mph for 30 minutes without luck. How can I get the light to turn off?

Did you scan for the specific code? You need a scanner. You might have something else going on.

P2459 is the only code

Do you monitor regens? Do you allow your truck to completely regen without interruption? If the answer is no then That is probably what you have going on - your truck is trying to regen but can't complete one.

You need a banks idash and you need to manually initiate a regen. Then go for a 30 mile drive.
