CB wiring issue

Looking for some advise and hopefully a clear answer for wiring a CB radio. I got my 2026 AT4 3.0 diesel 1500 back in February. I wired my Connex 3300HP cb radio and 500 watt amp a few weeks ago. I wired the hot and negative straight to the battery terminals. This past week I got an error code P0167 and truck wouldn’t crank. The dealership is saying it’s due to adding the CB and it’s interfering with the charging sensor. Should I move the ground wire from the battery terminal to a ground stud or tap into the frame of the truck? There has to be a way to wire accessories to this truck without interfering with the computer.

I advise you get rid of the entire setup, throw it in the trash and return to stock. These things are a. electric nightmare the slightest change in voltage and you're going to start needing new modules.
