Camshaft/Lifters?

Getting a transmission light with a warning message that states to “service esc” and “service park brake”.
Being told by dealership that the issue has nothing to do with the transmission. That it needs a new cam shaft and lifters.
Thoughts/Comments please.

I mean it's possible, no one here is going to be able to diagnose it over forums. If you aren't happy with their diagnostic and you're under warranty - different dealer. If not, any competent shop.

Edit:
While it's not going to be a slam dunk of a diagnostic - pull out your oil filter and cut it open. If there's any metal particles / shavings then it would be a slam dunk confirmation that something did go wrong inside the engine. And I don't know that throwing a new cam and lifters will be a fix if there's shavings. Might need an entirely new engine

I had these codes come up on my 24 AT4 and it was a bad battery....It flashed service ESC, Service Transmission and Service Parking Brake. Dealership replaced the battery under warranty, cleared the codes and it was good to go.
