Black exhaust tips

OK well I guess I will try the High Temp paint method. I did find a set on Amazon for $65... Now to go figure out how to remove these things. Sounds like it was a PITA for most, any tips or tricks would be great. Thx!!

I followed a few video's. You have to pull the bumper steps out, which was kind of a PITA and then I specifically bought a battery powered ratchet for the bolt on the top of the exhaust tip. You'll see what I mean. Otherwise it's not a hard job.

Mine rusted after 1 winter. I don’t live in the rust belt and no salt is used here. They are the biggest pain in the asses to remove. I used a power ratchet to expedite removal. I wouldn’t do it again. I bought painted ones and they rusted after 1 winter too. Wasted my money and removed them 3 times. Probably going to go back to chrome after I change out my bumper to a steel bumper with better access. Maybe you will have better luck but I don’t recommend doing it.

Where do you live? I was going to do those but they are a $1200 add on to my existing Borla exhaust and Borla said they wont guarantee them.

Knoxville. Kept an eye out on marketplace for 2 years and finally hit the whole kit with tips for $500.

Where did you get that red and black GMC emblem? From zooming on the pics it doesn't look like the factory one painted at least so I was curious.

Yeah they are hyperdipped in piano black. Dip the whole badge and after it dries you can peel out the center to expose the red lettering.
