For those interested in a DPF back pipe. I know its not a full exhaust and wont change the sound, but I also don't like the idea of blasting my trailer with the high exhaust temps I get while towing. I placed an order and will report back when it's installed.

Got mine today. Has anyone installed this yet? If so...any tips or observations on the Banks exhaust? I'm waiting till my King shocks come in and doing it all at once.

Installed the exhaust today. Was kind of a pain doing it without a lift in the driveway. Instructions were very well done. I have some work ahead of me getting the tip where I’d like it to be. Overall a good quality kit.

Shop should have no problem doing this. Pretty straight forward. The hardline re install was the biggest pain

No, it sounds stock. All DPF back kits will sound stock. Main reason I did it is for looks and to keep my trailer from getting blasted while towing.

Had my Banks Monster Exhaust installed today…same sound as stock and the new tip is larger than I thought in person and installed. Look forward to not directly impacting my Airstream with 1100+ degree REGEN temps!

That’s exactly why I ordered mine Master Chief. I’m moving back to PA and I’m going to be doing thousand mile runs each way towing stuff. Did you notice any “quicker” spooling of the turbo? I’m also curious as to IF it helps with MPG (not that I got my beast for mileage…lol). Banks made some claims and I’m just seeking real world experience now these are out in the wild.

I definitely feel an even more responsive accelerator. I’ve got a 4th of July Airstream run coming so acceleration will be tested under more load is what I’m anxious to see. Sound is the same or sounds the same as stock to me. I’ll have to report back on any MPG improvements. Too early to say. I’ll keep you posted.
