Audio System Sound Cuts Out

mine does it. only cuts out briefly. does it both with car play and xm. acts just like when satellite radio looses signal

I am also experiencing this in my 2025 3500. It is all sources and drops for 1-2 seconds. The timing is intermittent. Sometimes every 30 seconds and other times it’s every 5-10 minutes.

My does it when I first start. Will blank out for a second a few times and then plays fine. I’m not using CarPlay because that doesn’t work. With CarPlay, the volume is constantly dropping to a 1/4 off and on. I know it’s not an app doing it or my phone because I closed every app and even got a new phone and both phones work fine in my Ram company truck. So I just keep CarPlay turned off

Had the same issue. They did a software update and it still does it initially a few times. It's ridiculous to think that these expensive rigs come from the factory with something like this. No different than having a rough running engine until it warms up and being expected to just accept it. Well done GM. GM leads the industry in innovation....they continually seem to innovate new ways to sabotage their brand and customers.

Welcome to the club! Happened to me since i bought my truck new in 2022.5. I bug the dealer about it every visit and thus far software updates, software restores, etc... As soon as I drive off the lot it's back Commenting to follow.

I have had the issue since 2023. Evidently there was an update to fix this. I did all updates including the big one last summer. Dealer told me that for some reason my update didn't take. Infotainment update at dealership yesterday and now no more cut-outs for the first time in 2 years. The cut-outs I was experiencing were only a second long.

I have that issue where it cuts out for about a second, just thought it was the Sirius satellite.

My 2024 has been through two updates. Sometimes the system just goes mute. Sometimes you turn off the truck for a minute or so and it comes back, sometimes it doesn't until it sits for a long time. While I thought it was due to my wife's phone and Apple Car Play, recently it does it with my Android

I have the most recent update on my 2025 Denali and it does 2-3 very short periods of no audio, then works fine after that. I can live with it as my worry is that any 'fix' may cause more or worse issues...

I do have moments when it goes mute or turns off. I simply hit the phone mute / hang up button and the sound returns.
