ATP Preferred Package - Amber LED Cab Lights?

I believe there is a federal law requiring the lights on vehicles over a certain width and the dual rear wheel trucks fall into that. Manufacturers of HD trucks started offering the cab lights on all models even though not federally mandated. California prohibits them unless required federally.

I am thinking of moving to CA so I am wondering if I can register my truck there or have to get a new one without the lights, hopefully they will make a HD EV by then.

The second paragraph is a joke. That will never happen.

The HD EV won't have roof marker lights in CA! 🤣

So no factory install for California? I know our state is a mess politically and environmentally but any reason for not being able to have it factory installed? The dealer should still be able to do this or is it up to me?

Our state sucks! 🙄😊
I had same issue also, Nevada/Western states I guess follow CA emissions.
Awhile back, I found a shop in SoCal, that does cab light installs. They had a few videos.

I cant find the post atm, but user @Draq440 did his own install of Cab lights also

Will you two guys get a room :ROFLMAO:

😊 Im sure California will force the EV version and then when the winds pick up above 5 knots they will shut your power off and you are then screwed and won’t be able to charge your truck.
Just pick up a whole house generator so you can charge all of your items this state will force to go electric. They want to ban all gas appliances and all small gas engines. So if you live on any property with some acreage you'll
Be screwed. Yet they still burn the rice fields and other fields every year.

I will see what the dealer says about the lights. I’m waiting to hear back as my truck is in but unfortunately I leave in a few hours for training for work for 5 days. Great timing!
