AT4X AEV or Denali Ultimate - help me choose

The only way to get the equivalent of a Denali Ultimate with a gas 6.6l is to buy an ATX4. There are some differences in the amount of chrome but the big one is you can't get the Denali U with a gasser.

I traded my 2024 2500 HD Ultimate for the 2025 2500 HD AT4X AEV. I had several Denali’s before that and then the Ultimate. Fine trucks all but I must say that the AEV is really fun to customize where all the others were just great to drive. So, if you like to make your vehicle a “custom” ride, go with the AEV! Now, I’m leaving Saturday for a two week camping trip towing the Airstream. Loved towing with all the other GMC’s so this will be the first test. I will be surprised if I don’t love it!

I am 100% getting ready to purchase either a new 2500 AT4X AEV or Ultimate Denali with both having the L5P. I’m torn and need some help. The Denali Ultimate is black with the alpine interior which is stunning, whereas the AEV is the Thunderstorm color and looks great too. The AEV is roughly $8k more, but when looking at this kind of money, it’s a moot point. Regardless of the price difference, which do you recommend? I love both and am fighting which to get. Thanks for any help you can prove to help me finally choose and end the insanity 😁

Super Cruise only works with an ONSTAR subscription and Vader Chrome (a lot of the Denali Ultimate) will eventually start coming off everything. I’d guess that 10% of the vader chrome (a tinted clear coat over chrome) has flaked off my 3 year old truck.

The bronze-ish coat on the at4x aev grille doesn’t hold up much better. Idk if I’m at 10% but a certainly greater than 0.
