Apple CarPlay not always connecting.

Ok, here’s my issue. 2026 AT4 HD gas, my Apple car is not the most consistent connection like I would want. I am NOT using a Onstar plan. Sometimes I have to stop and restart the truck to get connected. I only have my phone as a connected phone and no others. Am I missing something? Thanks for the help.

Mine does this from time to time, usually when I have an app open on the phone and I first turn on the truck. No matter what I do it won’t connect unless I shut the truck off and restart. Now I try to make sure that I’m not in any apps/online when I get in and start the truck. It’s seems to be less of an issue when I do that.

Same here - issue since the last update.
What I have done is go in to vehicle settings and turn off "fast start" (can't remember the exact setting name). This forces the infotainment center to reboot at each vehicle start. That seems to fix most of the connection issues.
If my iPhone is still not connecting to car play when driving, but the phone is connected via bluetooth, I will turn off the bluetooth in the phone. Then turn it back on and make sure it connects to the truck. The phone should connect to car play then.
