Anyone Else?

So I'm currently on the side of the road waiting waiting on a tow. On a rural 2 lane 55mph I came upon a vehicle going 40. After a 1/2mi I decided to pass, so I mashed the throttle (cause why not it's a 6.2) and made the pass. After coming back into my lane I was coasting back down to 55 when I noticed the dash said "shift to neutral and press start button". Also noticed that rpm was 0, engine off.

Did as it said and it just shut everything off. Coasted off the side of the road, put in park and tried to start. It lights up, gauges cycle, everything normal except the engine doesn't attempt to start. After 2 more tries I finally get a CEL. I unhooked the battery, waited 10 minutes or so, then hooked up and tried again. Still won't try.

I'm guessing it has to be the computer not allowing it for some reason. My only thought is that when I floored it the CAI allowed so much air that the mass airflow sent something to the computer that made it think it was lean and shut it down? But I would think it would restart if that was it.

I've had better days for sure.
Exact same thing just happened to me. The local dealership replaced my camshaft sensor and crankshaft position sensor. Was fine, ran it for two more weeks started doing it again and my motor seized at 13k. Cylinder 1&2 rod bearings with a lot of metal in the pan. They told me zero ETA and motors were on back order at the time. Luckily I’ve since gotten it back and I’m still undecided if I’m keeping it or not.

It’s a new engine replaced under warranty (at least that’s what the receipt says).
Lucky!

My paperwork doesn't say reman'd but SA told me it would be. Plus warranty didn't start over, just remainder of my original 5yr/60k. Apparently if I had paid for a new engine I would have gotten a new warranty.

I don't feel good about it but I'm keeping mine. Love the truck and a new one would have the same issues with a higher sticker price. Plus, other than the bigger screen, I prefer the pre refresh. I could go to a different manufacturer buy they all have their own issues.
Hoping I can get another 3-4yrs out of it.

I didn’t get a new warranty, but have 42k & 3 yrs remaining on the original 100k/5yr warranty.
