So I'm currently on the side of the road waiting waiting on a tow. On a rural 2 lane 55mph I came upon a vehicle going 40. After a 1/2mi I decided to pass, so I mashed the throttle (cause why not it's a 6.2) and made the pass. After coming back into my lane I was coasting back down to 55 when I noticed the dash said "shift to neutral and press start button". Also noticed that rpm was 0, engine off.
Did as it said and it just shut everything off. Coasted off the side of the road, put in park and tried to start. It lights up, gauges cycle, everything normal except the engine doesn't attempt to start. After 2 more tries I finally get a CEL. I unhooked the battery, waited 10 minutes or so, then hooked up and tried again. Still won't try.
I'm guessing it has to be the computer not allowing it for some reason. My only thought is that when I floored it the CAI allowed so much air that the mass airflow sent something to the computer that made it think it was lean and shut it down? But I would think it would restart if that was it.
I've had better days for sure.
