AEV Salta Wheel vs. stock AT4X AEV Edition Wheel

Thanks for the info and contacting the guy. I guess I'm a bit mentally burnt right now but you're or he is saying that the OEM Salta wheels will not fit the 37s without surgery? But if you order the Salta from AEV they will fit the 37s without surgery?

If the ones that came on my 2500 AEV will fit 37s without any surgery I will just go that way for a time. But if I have to order wheels I will definitely go with method bead grip technology.
If it’s going to be too much of a pain in the ass with AEV wheels I’ll just go the method as well. They are lighter compared to the AEV wheels as well

I've got a slightly used GMC SALTA wheel that I can part with...thanks to my daughter??

She tried to get it "off road", but the curb stopped her!
A couple decades ago I had just purchased my wife a nice sedan. One day arriving home she was afraid of hitting the plastic trash cans next to the driveway so she pulled up tight to my 1964 El Camino. After leaving a 3 foot crease in her door she debated telling me about it. LOL
(no El Camino were harmed in this story.)

37’s will fit on the AT4X AEV with stock Salta wheels without any lift and do not rub. I have them on my truck.
That's great to hear!
Do you mind posting any pictures and a little more data? I'm just curious which tire you chose, what is the width of it, and what PSI you're running?
I could live with a quality legitimate 37" until I'm ready to do the complete Overlanding outfit.

Nitto Ridge Grappler 37x12.50r18 at 55 psi. I will get some pics shortly.

That's awesome thank you for the extra effort. Do you ever go off road and lower the PSI? If you do how low have you run them on the stock rims?

I drive through fields and on farm paths when hunting. I try to avoid mud now that I pay for things, funny how that works out when you get older.

Well I'm only 61 so I look forward to figuring that out when I get old. It's not like I plan any rock bouncing or not even the Rubicon but the goal is to get out in the wilderness past anybody who might leave litter all over the campsite.

So AEV sent me a message and agree with the OP saying their AEV salta wheel does not fit underneath as a spare. Regardless I’m probably going to go the method wheels option instead.
