So i ended up ordering the aux beam 6 gang switch and got it in yesterday.

I started looking at where to punch that wire for the switch through the firewall and wanted to ask where you guys have used.

I have the 3.0 Diesel and the drivers side looks pretty hard to get to without taking out the air filter box/tube and such, but there’s also a lot of stuff there to navigate around finding a wire so i figure i’d just ask before i started poking holes lol.

This is the spot I use, to get wires thru. The nipple will have to be cut/slit. I use a 3' piece of #12 solid as a fishtape...

ETA...I poke the "fishtape" from inside the cabin, as a person can peel insulation away from the firewall to access the nipple easier. Once you do it, the next truck is a cake walk.

So i am assuming you have to take the air filter tube out and such to get to everything so I’ll just do all this when i get my new intake lol. Then its just one job

That is exactly when I put the wires thru, when I installed the s&b airbox on the babymax. The HD's are open in that space as nothing needed to be removed and a person can see the nipple!.

Awesome! How do you like the S&B? From what I’ve seen in videos and such it adds some turbo noises and maybe a smidge of throttle response which sounds like a good deal to me.

Is it very loud other than the turbo spool?

Nice. The Garmin is amazing for an off the shelf option.

I did not use Garmin at all. Following my own design, I built the bluetooth/wifi system from scratch; no wires through the firewall for front bumper lights or the AEV lights on the rear bumper. The only downside of this design for any anyone else is, it needs a wifi/hotspot for Carplay however I have a wifi hotspot available in my BlackVue dashcam which utilizes a sim card (in my case a T-Mobile sim card) and uses a dedicated phone line with high speed data and also works in Canada when we cross the border.

Not much for turbo spooling sound, but gobs of air flow noise! I like it more for the extra capacity of air filtration. I live in dirt country.

I feel you there, i live in west Texas so we have PLENTY of dirt lol.
