Just before Memorial Day, I wrapped up a tow from the Texas Panhandle to the Jackson, WY area hauling a full-size 2-door Bronco on a U-Haul auto transport with my 2024 Sierra AT4 6.2L.
The 6.2L is an absolute beast. Truck just hummed along and pulled like a champ the entire trip. Hit some rough weather — heavy rain around Denver and snow/wind along I-80 in Wyoming. Ended up snowed in an extra day in Laramie, but honestly the truck performed fantastic throughout.
For anyone curious on MPG, I run a Range module (DFM/Auto Stop disabled).
Non-towing
Coming back to Central Texas, I averaged about 19.2 mpg.
Overall, really impressed with how stable and confident the truck felt, especially considering elevation, weather, and towing a Bronco-sized brick through Wyoming. Tow/Haul mode was excellent, engine braking worked great in the mountains, and the AT4 never felt stressed.
