23 AT4X Illuminated Emblem

Correct, the harness connection is between the M and C but the new grill for AEV doesn’t have this hole cutoff like the regular grill. You could get a circle hole kit about 3/4” and make it fit but would lose one of the clips them to secure to grill.

Decided to paint the emblem black with plastic dip and peel off the letter to expose the red to still make it look a little better than factory it wish I could have had the illuminated.

You thinking about selling?

Another member asked and I told him I’m into the part with tax and shipping for $270 as I purchased with a discount. Would sell for $200 as its brand new in the box and never used. I think from GM is $310

Illuminated emblem is Sold
Great mod for the 2019-2022 AT4/AT4X
I’ll wait for GM to make one for new 23’ grill
Went with black painted and left red GMC for now

Looks great with black I did that to my emblems on doors and tailgate and left the red and love it. I had the illuminated on AT4 and loved it so this is disappointing. One question, did you remove the existing letters and check fit of the illuminated emblem or just knew when you saw the wiring harness connector? I have doubts that the new emblem will fit into the black plastic "letter outlines" even if I made the cutout work, that's kept me from opening and trying.

Hey DT, yes, I did remove the factory GMC and when I placed the illuminated one up to it, it was obvious the new grill is different where the cut out for the harness connector is located. Not sure if GM will make one for just this specific grill, but hopefully they do as it’s a really cool upgrade IMO

This is how mine looks…

I also added a 20” Baja Design Light Bar, with amber “daytime” running lights. I love the LED light bar output.

I cut and sanded down (with a Dremel disk cutting tool) the plastic grill dividers, allowing the LED light bar, unobstructed illuminated forward objects.

The running lights complement the illuminated GMC logo.

(looks much better in low light and at night)

Over all, I like the improved look.

I’ve only seen one other AT4X in the “wild” OC, here in So. Cal.

This looks awesome. Did you buy an install kit for the BD lights? If not, do you have instructions for the install you did? I just picked up my AT4X AEV edition yesterday and traded in my Ram TRX that had several BD lights on it and I’m having trouble finding similar lighting mods for the AT4X.

I had a local off road shop fabricate a mount, then wired it to a lighted toggle switch. (mounted, just to the LEFT of the steering wheel.)
