Preliminary information · Preliminary information PIT6544

This is a preliminary information note, not a recall. GMC sends these to dealer technicians about a known condition, often while a fix is still being worked out. They are not repair orders, and they don't by themselves change what is covered.

Published: Sep 2, 2026
Applies to: Yukon: 2025–2026 · Yukon XL: 2025–2026 · Canyon: 2023–2026

Also listed in the source (outside this forum's coverage): Acadia 2024–2026, Hummer EV Pickup 2026, Hummer EV SUV 2026

Summary (official text)

This preliminary information is to inform technicians and customers that GM is aware of the issue and the vehicle can still be driven. When a repair is available, this PI will be updated.
