2022 Refresh with Factory Option Performance Exhaust - Exchanged Muffler???

If you bought your truck new, I would think there would have to be something on the sticker or a assy. sticker saying any muffler swap if one happened.

Purchased the Borla exhaust from GMC Accessories and dealership installed when I purchased. On a 2021 6.2 Don’t know if this helps or not, i can look up part # later if you need

The truck is so quiet, even with the 6.2, that I was thinking about the sport exhaust but something mild. Yours is exactly what I want. And the tips are a bonus! Appreciate the part number. You should get a referral/commission

Have you guys with the sport exhaust notice the Dynamic Fuel Management (cylinder deactivation)? A lot of owners complained about it with the previous generation when it was called Active Fuel Management. It was a must to override the AFM when you put in a louder exhaust. It’s my understanding that it is far more difficult to disable this new DFM.

I have had a GM product that had it, and yes it was very noticeable when it dropped cylinders. I have not heard or seen that in this engine.

Hey prfalcon, did a little more research after you ask the question and was curious. Best I can find most, if not all 2021 and 2022 5.3 and 6.2 do not have the DFM on them (o darn) due to the chip shortage. Well, well- I finally found a huge plus to the chip shortage!
