2022-2023 1500 power fold tow mirrors with cameras

So, the latest issues...... the automatic high beam setting needs to be initiated every time I drive the truck at night now. All the previous trucks, and this one for the first 9 months, remembered that I had them active and I did not have to turn them "on" every time. Then, last night, I touched the radio screen to save another channel to the presets list on the bottom, and all my presets disappeared that I had previously had in there. The only preset I have now is the one from last night. All the other pages are blank! I am thinking I should have ordered this truck in lemon yellow instead of blue. I really hope the 2023 that is in production right now does not have all these problems.
I have the same issue with my intelibeam now after my software updates, but haven't tried to save a new radio station so I can't confirm that issue.

I would suggest taking a truck similar to yours with the tow mirrors for a test drive. I have the tow package on mine with them and am not overly happy with them. I have a huge (unable to see full size truck) blind spot of the passenger rear bumper that I can't seem to get rid of. The lower mirror needs to adjust up and out more, but there is no more adjustment left. Also backing into the garage is difficult to tell how close you are to hitting something on the sides. Maybe it's just me, but they haven't impressed me yet.

If anyone with the tow mirrors has some advice, please let me know the tricks to adjust.

Thanks for the heads up Blue22AT4. I think I’m going to give BoostAuto a shot. They make their own custom tow mirrors that look just like factory and you can add the features you want. A bit expensive depending on the features you add. I’ve been in contact with their support who are very knowledgeable and responsive. Their videos are pretty clear , but it looks like a fairly lengthy process to prep, install, add mods/wiring, and put everything back in place. At least I’ll know it’s done correctly when I’m finished. I report back on the installation process if anyone’s interested.
Check out the video from "Donslife" on U-tube. Some good info for the installation of the Boost Auto towing mirrors.

Ironically my truck goes in tomorrow to get the last of the microchip retrofits done. This is for the front and rear sensors, and my 2023 has a TPW of June 26th, so next week! Sad that I have had this one for over a year with options missing and it was over 8 months before the first one was completed of the 3 needed, that one was heated/vented seats. The bad news is this one is still having the same issues it has had since new, nothing able to be corrected by the dealer. The good news is that supposedly the '23 is coming with the tow mirrors on it, and the only known item that may not work is a steering wheel lock? I really don't care about that anyway.
I sure hope this 2023 is better then the "refreshed" 2022 ended up being. By far the worst GMC I have had in over 25 years and probably 18 trucks in that time. In all reality, if I have to deal with problems again, there will be a 2024 Ford F150 Tremor or Raptor in my garage next summer.

I feel your pain. Isn’t it strange that some trucks have no issues and others are a PITA? I had a Ford F150 that the dealer could not or would not fix the problems that I was having. I probably could have gone thru the lemon law but didn’t want to screw around with that. So, I traded it in for a GM product. No more Fords for me. You would think for what these trucks cost that the dealers would bend over backwards to help.
BTW, what were the 3 microchip retrofits for. I’ve had 2 done, one for the heated & cooled seats, one for the front & rear sensors, but isn’t the 3rd one for the heated steering wheel? I’ll have to call the dealer to check but I want to be sure that I know what I’m talking about. I waited 14 months to get the first retrofit done. That is just unbelievable but that’s what we get for relying on the Chinese to do what we should be doing ourselves!

First one was to get the heated seats to work, second was to get the blowers to work for venting, (not sure why that was not one retrofit) and the one tomorrow is for sensors. My heated wheel was working from the get go. Irritating part is all the trucks that have been built since mine, April 2022, that came with all of these working right away, but it took over a year to complete mine. The only one I have seen on newer trucks has been the steering wheel lock.

I'll have to check my heated steering wheel. I tried it when I first got the truck and it did not work (that was 16 months ago) and went thru a bitter cold winter without them. I'll check again just in case it was included with the heated/cooled seats. I'll call the dealer tomorrow and try to find out is going on.

so just an update I successfully installed the OEM gm tow mirrors on my 2022 sierra at4x with the boost auto RZY harness and the OEM gm door harness. The only issues I have to get fixed is the camera angles when white auto media can update the VPM (not a big deal just angles are off ) and the mirrors kind of don't fold in and out properly I have to hit the button a few times sometimes to get them to fold in or out. Any insight on the folding mirror part would be great. But overall worth it and love the look

My camera angles never did get corrected and mine have never folded in or out well either, besides the lights and such never working. Sometimes one moves but the other doesn't and vice versa. It can get pretty crazy at times to try and get them both to do what you want. I gave up trying to fix all the issues with the '22 and am getting rid of it. The '23 is built and awaiting dispatch from IN at this point. I can't wait to send this one down the road. Good luck to the next owner for sure.

I hope this is good news, but my 2023 was delivered, finally, last week to the dealership. It is essentially an exact replica of my 2022, 6.2 Dynamic Blue with pretty much everything except a power roof. But this time the factory had the trailer tow mirrors available and there were not any retrofits to get done, yeehaw! I sure hope this one is better than the one I am trading in, but ordered a 2024 Ford F150 Tremor just in case. I like the look of the black Elevation rims better than the stock AT4 rims, so I am putting them on with 295/60/20 BFG All Terrains. I think it will look pretty decent, not sure if I want the white letters on the outside or not. Anybody have an opinion?

White letters should be on the inside, NOT facing the road. Actually, white letters are a thing of the past. You can use a black marker to black out the letters when they are facing inside or just spray them black with flat black paint. That's what I've always done. Post pics of the new truck. (y) BTW, I love the sunroof.
Almost forgot, I'd love to have tow mirrors, but Boost Auto is very expensive. For what I want it would cost around $1500. o_O

As it turns out, the tires were not available with RWL anyway so it made it clear what I was doing! I had decided to put them in. so a moot point now. Should get the truck later this week, paint and windshield are getting treated today and then it needs to cure. I will try to toss a picture on here when it is delivered.

2023 GMC AT4.webp It made it home finally and it came with everything I ordered and only has the steering wheel lock not installed. Not sure what that is all about or if they are doing another retrofit! Went with Elevation rims and BFG TA 295/60/20 tires.
