Issue #1. The wireless charging has been working flawlessly since purchase in December. The past 2 days, it has stopped charging. It shows on the screen that the phone is in the cradle, but never indicates that any charging has started.

Issue #2. Since purchase in December, the air (either cold or hot) only comes out the defrost vents. You can push any of the 3 settings and it remains in defrost mode. If you push the floor/defrost button, for a second the air flow lowers and starts to switch, but always reverts back to defrost.

Does anyone have any insight on either of these issues? I am saddened that I have issues with only 5500 miles after waiting for 50 weeks for build and delivery.

I took a few sierras for test drives and tested out the wireless charging cradle and it was very hit or miss. I have a iPhone 13 Pro Max and you had to have it in a certain way to make it charge. Not sure if a FireWire update could fix it. It super strange for a brand new truck have a small issue like this. It’s not the end all be all but paying huge money for a truck that has a feature that isnt working properly is a pain in the ass

I have an android S22 Ultra. No charging problems on my 23 AT4X. With the charging cradle hidden under the arm rest, it is possible that the phone just didn't seat right or closely enough. I have had that happen a couple times, but upon lifting the arm rest, saw I slid my phone in where it wasn't seated on the wireless charging pad.

On my 2020 AT4, I at times had an issue with the AC or heat not coming out of the front vents properly. It sometimes also took a while for it to come out of those front vents after I switched it from defrost to all vents. Just guessing there is a flap in the dash that wasn't opening correctly. But diagnosing and fixing such an issue is not always easy.

Any chance you have auto turned on? When I have the temp set to auto it seems like it comes out random places but if auto is off, it goes where it is lit up.

Update
As of this past Friday for some reason the phone charging is again working as expected. I have a S21 Ultra in an OtterBox case. It was strange because the phone gives an audible signal when placed in the cradle. For those few days, no sound was given although the phone indicated it was charging on the phone screen. It didn't charge but just got super hot. Anyway, hopefully that is all of that. Thanks for the input on the issue.

My 2023 AT4X came with $200 off MSRP marked right on window sticker because there is no wireless charging. I pulled the cradle apart and there is a charger shaped card that has a sticker on it saying non-functional. Wish I knew what it needed to get it to work. I guarantee a dealership would charge me more than $200 to get the charger working.

The card in there is missing parts hence non-functional its not something you can "get to work" the fix is to replace that unit with one that works.

404Parts has them and I successfully dismantled my interior and replaced the non-functional part with this. The instructions don't explain the partial dash removal required so if you buy it and have questions feel free to ask, happy to help.

Man that looks like a huge pain in the ass to get the wireless charger to work. You would think GM would have made it easier to retrofit once chips were available

I see it states 1-2 hour estimated time. Is that accurate, and how big of a pita is it.

1-2 hours is pretty accurate. You have to be patient and if you're like me put some cardboard out to place the plastics you remove onto to prevent them from getting scratched.

I didn't even try to unplug the seat harnesses but the seats did need to be fully unbolted and tilted around to get the console to release and tip up the way in the picture above. The charging unit is only accessible from the bottom side of the console so there's only one way to do this. I'd also recommend putting a catch towel down once you have the console up so when you unmount the non-functional unit you don't lose the screws inside the floor of the vehicle.

The instructions that come with it are meant for a lower trim vehicle so it's also missing the fact that you need to unclip the "chrome" horizontal trim that spans the dash.
