Just over a year into ownership, 9200 miles, and I started up the truck earlier this week and I got the notification on screen that wireless android auto would not connect. I finally used the onstar button to call in and am waiting on a callback. I have tried two different phones, one of which was not connected previously, and it also has the same problem. From what I've read, wireless AA connects with WIFI, not bluetooth, so there appears to be a WIFI issue between the truck and my phone. One onstar person suggested I purchase a 2GB data plan for $15/month but I told her it was a feature sold with the truck and has worked for a year now and should continue working. I don't need a subscription for wireless AA to work in the vehicle, its a feature sold with 2021+ GMC sierras. I've gone through the AA app on the phone and nothing has changed. I think the WIFI hotspot needs to be active perhaps to work and it isn't. Any other suggestions? Wired AA does work fine.

Onstar called me back and said take it to the dealer, so, I have an appointment for next week.

I had issues with wireless Apple Car Play after my free OnStar trial ended- and I just called OnStar and told them to do a reboot of the system and all has worked great since then (about 5 months). Didn’t purchase any plan from OnStar but the reboot worked for wireless Apple Car Play. Might work for AA??

I've called OnStar now 5 times. Been transferred to gm/Chevrolet once, keep getting out on hold, hung up on, and otherwise told they would have to call me back and have waited days. Absolutely ridiculous

And everytime I call in, it's hard to understand what the reps are saying. And when I end up thanking them for their "help", I get "you welcome". Wtf is "you welcome".

Another transfer to the gm division who couldn't help me after I specifically told OnStar not to do that. Untrained monkeys can do a better job than these OnStar people.

FINALLY got it fixed. I hit the random jackpot and spoke to someone who knew what to do. My wireless hotspot was disabled, probably after I had the radio reflashed at GM the other day to fix another android auto issue. Onstar connections team was able to re-enable it without having a data plan and boom, everything reconnected and is now working.
