I had to replace my windshield, 2022 AT4x, it has HUD, lane assist, rain sense, and etc. Called the local dealer and ask where they recommend, called them both- yep we can do it all, realign cameras and sensors. Take it to them, $900 later get my truck. Lane assist does not work. 🤬🤬🤬🤬😡🤬🤬🤬🤬. Take back to windshield shop, they take to dealer. End result- GMC says you must have OEM replacement for all to work. The shop is doing the change for no extra, in 3 weeks when a OEM arrives. Just lotta aggravation and time. So I would say go with OEM from start if y’all need one!

Yep. My 2020 AT4 that I traded off in early Jan had just gotten a broken windshield before the "service emission system" error code fiasce (that they never could fix). I figured a new windshield would be $500 or so. But since I traded it off, I never had to find out how much it actually was.

My wife's 2020 AT4 had her windshield crack all the way across the bottom, and right up the middle left. Estimates have been $800 minimum, $1000 or more possible. Sucks, and ridiculously expensive to replace a windshield because of extra sensors that need to be fiddled with to replace the windshield.

Safelite quoted $1,160 I think, it was small enough to fix but by the time I got there it grew to a replace estimate.

Safelite put a windshield in my 2016 Denali HD the day I traded it in and no issues. It had the collision camera and the other crazy stuff in it and they programmed it all back to normal. They did the install on the dealers lot where I traded in the truck. Cost me $100 through state farm my insurance carrier then. Dropped state farm next day.
