Why do the AT4X wheels and tires look so much more aggressive?

Hey, new to this forum. I pick up my new 2023 AT4 Saturday and really dislike the 20" wheels and tires it's coming with.

That said, I'm doing some research and see the AT4X tires are less than 33" tall but look so much bigger and more aggressive than the over 33" AT4 tires. Why is that? Also, has anyone put AT4X wheels and tires on their AT4? Love to see some pics, especially any with a Ready Lift 1.75 UCA leveling kits.

20’s make tires look smaller too. Here’s mine with 275/70-18’s. Same size as AT4X. Also the AT4 tires are not 33’s. Like 32.4

Do your 20's come with the ATs or the MTs? both are an option
Mine came with 20" Bridgestone ATs. I'm thinking about upsizing with Nitto Ridge Grapplers or Mickey Thompsons - I hear both have exceptional ride quality with low noise. I'm also debating on a drop to 18" wheels to improve the ride quality, the roads in Northern WI are horrible.

got it! mine are the bridgestone ATs. With tire shine one they look agressive. Naked they look like a bald man. Maybe it's just an illusion in my head though

When I first saw the at4’s I hated the 20’s and loved the 18s because of the tire design they had on them. As time went by I started to fall out of love with the 18s because the wheel looked to small for the truck and a set of 20’s with the right tire looked perfect. I like to think that I got lucky when I bought my at4 because the dealership had put new Toyo A\T tires on the truck which definitely changed the appearance of the truck by giving it an off road look but yet a clean on the road truck look.

From my eye seeing them on the street the trucks with factory 20”s look taller but less aggressive.
Oh the AT tires are absolutely taller than the MTs if you put them side by side. My

Yes, I think I'll stick with 20s, but sell the stock wheels and Bridgestone ATs and get solid black wheels with a more aggressive looking tire, like the Toyo, MT or Nitto.

I personally would keep the stock wheels and tire, remove the air from the tires and store them away incase you decide to sell the truck in the future. Also, incase you run into an issue with the aftermarket setup and need to put the stock wheels back on the truck.
