Morning,

First post after purchase of a 2023 AT4 Canyon with 68,000kms. I have driven it 4,000kms in the last 2 months mostly highway.

I had a mod'ed 2016 Tacoma prior that was written off (not be me )

While driving in today, i approached upcoming traffic from 121km/hour in 4 auto and had to stop aggressively (not hard, no ABS) i heard a loud bang in the driveline
i slowed to under 60kms and continued to drive. The truck was stuck in 4th gear maybe, revving over 5000rpm at 70km/hr and CEL came on. I pulled over, cycled the ignition for a few minutes and tried driving it. Tranny regained normal operation but CEL still on. I also noticed a weird, harsh, 1 / 2 shift when cold... sometimes.

Truck is under warranty but just wondering if others have had any issues and have any advice approaching the dealer?

Also, is there a way to program the fog lights to always be on when headlights are on ?

TIA...Garr

I also have a 23 Canyon AT4 with 37,000 miles. I too had the hard shift when cold. As with everyone else on hear GM just tells you it is normal. My arse if it is normal. You know damn well they will find some lame excuse when it finally fails.
I decided to do the research myself and find out which part is is that is causing the issue. It took about a week to find it. I went to my dealership and calmly explained the situation and told them the part # etc... There was one in Texas and they were willing to do an inventory swap. fast forward a few weeks and the part came in. They were a bit leery about it but I insisted. The next day I picked it up and have had zero shifting issues for the last month or so. I will look up the part number and share it later today.
