I received my new VLEDS license plate light bar this morning and started working on the installation on my 24 ATX4. Using their supplied instructions, I was able to complete step 1 but got lost trying to figure out step 2. I searched the web for helpful installation videos but came up blank. Does anyone have some pointers to get me heading in the right direction?

I installed one of those but a slightly different version so mine did not come with that extra plug. Can't really help out, sorry.

For anyone considering this, the LPX with 7-pin did not work on my truck even though I do not have the options they list as incompatible. I'm going to order their LPR series and see if that works. According to their tech, it should.

This is the one I bought. It doesn't have the brake lights though. Easy install, super bright and no issues for the 6 months I've had it.

Does your harness have the other wire shown in those insteuctions? I recently got the lpx with 7 pin harness and it didnt have that extra wire. Also, even though my truck only has the standard tow package which isn’t shown as excluded on their website the 7 pin harness does not work on my truck. Had to buy a tailgate light harness and make my own adapter to connect to their controller.

The LPX wasn't compatible with the AT4X so they told me to get the LPR. It arrived today and didn't work. After a quick chat with tech support, they said I needed a powered relay kit (another $16). I'd love to say their customer support is awesome, but it seems to lack any customer service. With limited options, I'll probably buy the powered relay kit and run a wire to the battery.

I wasn’t to impressed with their tech team either. They told me there was no way to make the lpx work on our trucks. I purchased a wiring harness from Amazon for tailgate light strips that connects to the taillight harness’s and wired that up to the lpx and it works perfectly fine.

I wish that I had the skills for that, I liked the idea of the LPX, but at the end of the day am just looking for reverse lights that I can see through the tint and topper.

Do you happen to have the link for the harness? I was looking at this as well, but don't want to run a wire all the way to the battery. Seems a bit excessive.

MECMO 4 Pin w/Reverse Tailgate... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B41K52Z6?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
This is the harness I used to connect to the taillights. I bought a 4pin trailer plug that I spliced into the lpx harness and a single pin connector for the reverse wire so I didn’t have to cut up the harness to the taillights in case I ever wanted to run a different light setup.

As an update, LPR doesn't work either, even after buying the powered relay, as their tech advised. In short, this system, which uses the 7-pin adapter, does not work on my 2024 AT4X. One month and $10 in return shipping later, I'm back at square one.

I’m attempting this, I bought the putco light bar plug and play adapter. I’m not a fan of the outcome bars just personal preference but I really liked the vled lpx

Welcome.

I’ve been really happy with my lpx once I figured out how to make it work. Vleds tech support swore up and down that it can’t be powered off the taillights and that they tested it and it screwed with the computer. I’ve been running it that way for a month with zero issues.
