Folk, I have a new 2023 AT4 1500 with the Duramax. I am scheduled to have a RustCheck treatment applied to the underbody; it’s an oil-based product designed to mitigate corrosion (here in the Northeast they put lots of corrosive crap on the roads in the winter - just look at my 12yr old Highlander!). My question is this, since the D-Max engines produce lots of heat during the regen process, are there specific components on the underbody that should be avoided when applying the treatment?

Merry Christmas!

Definitely the heat shields blocking exhaust heat.

And Happy New Years.
