Another small project for my truck. I wanted to install some lights under my hood,, just in case you ever had an emergency or need some lights at night! Another item GM has done away with over the years. I searched the "web" and after an hour or so of not finding anything in my price range, or more importantly, something that I liked. I ended up buying a set from Walmart.com, yes Walmart. After install I was more than pleased and happy with the results. The kit came with two strips of led lights, an on/off switch, a hood switch activator, and all necessary wiring. I took around 2 hours to install running all the wiring through the inside of the hood. there was not enough wire for the far side to my switch so I had to splice and add some wire, no biggie. The lights and on/off switch both have sticky backing to install. At first I though, yea right, but it actually works very well. So when I open the hood the light come on and if I want to shut them off I can just turn off the switch under the hood. I paid less than $25.00 shipped for them, so a great add all the way around for me. Up next is the Redline Tuning Hood QuickLift Plus System, but will have to wit for funds until next month.

My little switch that turns it on when hood opens has gone bad. I bought light from Amazon and light works great when switch worked
