I have no experience with this, but I've seen where people just input the length at 32' or whatever the max length is and the view in the camera ends up being 'close enough'.

Be ready for the possible flickering and final quit. We spent 550 on the transparent trailer cam. 38 foot fifth wheel. Worked great for about 2000 miles. Now I have a $550 paper weight. Won’t re connect ….wont work as regular camera…. Just a black box. I’m calling GM tomorrow. It is really a great camera to have after the calibration. The 24’s work with longer rigs no problem so you aren’t limited to a short utility trailer.

Don't know much about it but love the idea of a 38' fifth wheel; my daughter has a 35' trailer and that's enough for their family of four. I'm a boat guy and miss the 36' Carver I had in the U.K.

Happy Glamping!

I’m envious!! 😂. Looked at the boat options for a while. We couldn’t get to Michigan or Arkansas to visit my wife’s parents 😂😂. Perhaps I can convince her in the future to change it up 🤔.

What did you find out from the GM dealer?

Well …..the the gal I spoke to representing GM ….a call center… told me that because I put the sticky pads and zip ties that came with full instructions on my $550 dollar camera ….thats less than 3 months old ….is void of warranty because I didn’t have a dealer stick it to the rig.
F-ing BS. Nowhere in the PROVIDED instructions does it say I must pay a dealer to install what is a camera on one end and a friggen plug that goes into the pre installed outlet on my bumper.
I don’t need to express my anger with that answer… I told her my toaster works the same way. It plugs in. That simple.
She suggested I go to a dealer to see if they can replace through a warranty.
It’s just absurd and she agreed.
I will give an update soon.
