Transmission Valve Body Plate Screen Issue

My first trek into a GMC isn't working out. I was a long-time Toyota guy, but 32 days ago, I took the plunge on a 2021 GMC Yukon XL AT4. Gorgeous truck, until this morning when it started to shift very hard, went into limp mode, and threw a check engine code (P0776 & P0700), and won't shift into reverse.

I got it to the dealer I bought it from. $3622 to replace the valve body, left and right pipe seals, filter kit, and trans flush. I got a $300 off offer from the dealership.

I haven't even made the first payment.

Over 300K on my 4Runner and only ever changed the tires, wipers, and brakes.

I am just floored by this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, gm does have an issue with the 10speed.

30 day 1,000 miles. I'm at 32 days and 1500 miles.

I went in and talk to them this evening. They got me a loaner car and will most likely agree to a 50/50 split. Not ideal but better than it was
