Just got my 2024 AT4 in. So thrilled! Drove it back home over 2 hours away.

When I got to my exit and was in stop and go traffic the truck seemed like it couldn’t decide which gear to be in and once it determined what gear it jolted in to gear. No audible noise but just a feeling of a jolt or hard shift.

I assumed it was a fluke.

Then today in stop and go traffic and at slower speeds it jolted numerous times.

7 or 8 times of this within 375 miles.

Not sure if this is normal or not.

It's still learning.

Kinda unnerving at first, but it goes away, have 2 of them and both did it. Don't quite know how many miles it took, but it just disappeared.

I’ve heard that from a few people and also heard from others who have a few Chevy’s with the same power/drivetrain that there’s haven’t done that.

Still calling the dealer tomorrow morning and atleast gonna take it in.

Not worried as I got a 100,000 mile warranty but so inconvenient if I have to go through all this trouble if it’s not learning.

Keep us updated if the 10L1000 has a problem.

All I have read failures about is the input seal dripping. I saw a service bulletin on it. Really bad engineering, if the seal is installed too deep or too shallow, by 10's of thousandths it could leak.

By the way, sweet truck.

That color is really growing on me. When I first saw that color coming out (around the end of the beer bug) from manufacturers, I said "Look paint is on restriction. They're clear coating primer!".

UPDATE:

Called my trusted dealer. There is a bulletin for 22-24 2500s including mine where the transfer case is slightly out of alignment and there’s a transmission coolant line that has been known to be installed twisted restricting coolant.

They said I should be fine driving it until I can get it in which is today at 1:30p to get it checked out.

Will keep you all posted!

Yeah, saw the truck and knew that’s what I wanted and finally found one.

Yes my HD does the same thing around 2nd-4th gear. Have the same jolt as its unsure to shift. Happened multiple times and im 6500 miles on my HD. Please keep us updated.

UPDATE:

Took it in and road with a Master Tech for 5 miles and tried driving under similar conditions and of course it never did it.

I explained in detail when this normally happens and he said it might be the computer trying to get to the gear it thinks you want and then you do something to change it. For example, in stop and go traffic when I’m not touching the brakes and constantly rolling on and off the throttle is when it tends to happen. So it’s thinks I’m slowing down and it’s about to switch to a great to accommodate that and then I’ll accelerate or visa-versa.

That being said they did not doubt me or negate me but said that that do not see any issues and no codes were popping up and said to keep driving it and if it got worse to please bring it back and they’ll try to get it to do it again.

They also checked a few other things that were in the bulletins for these trucks just to confirm my truck didn’t have those issues.

All that being said, never did it do it yesterday or the today.

I’ll keep y’all posted if it occurs again or worsens.

I have a 2024 gasser and mine sometimes does the same. It only happens when I'm slowly coasting and feather the throttle or try to brake right when it's about to shift, and I can always tell what caused it. I'm not worrying about it unless it starts doing it under other circumstances.

I havent had the "jolt" that you speak of, but my transmission does stutter sometimes. Basic driving, I'll be doing highway speeds just cruising, and the transmission with stutter, or power goes in and out very quickly like 5-10 times, and then goes back to cruising again. Not sure what my issue is? Might have something to do with my truck being on 37" tires

I have a stock 2024 2500 GMC AT4X and I am getting the transmission jolts as well. They were numerous in the first 500 miles then they slowed a bit and now around 2500 miles they are becoming very numerous. Most of these jolts happen when accelerating. Most commonly they happen between 38 and 50 mph. No audible noise, it just feels like the truck loses all power for half a second. Yet to take it to the dealer. Another friend is having the same issue with his and the dealer told him its common and will go away. I will give it more time and then take it in if it doesn't clear up.

Just over 3000 miles and absolutely no jolts or loss of power, drives smooth as anything at any speed; don't even notice gear changes, my first ten speed.

I’m at 3,800 miles and it’s gotten worse…. More jolts and even more abrupt than before.

Now it’s even happening during de-acceleration.

Getting fed up with it and expected more from an $88,000 truck…
