Trailer Hitch for the AT4 ??

Which is the best design / model / style for a trailer hitch to accommodate the 2 inch extra height of the AT4 ?? ... thank you ... regards ... Rick C.

If I remember correctly, a 4 inch drop hitch worked perfectly for my 18' car hauler. I'll check later to be sure.

Not sure about the hitch but I just picked up my AT4 last Saturday and the dealer told me GMC is coming out with a "sensor" or something that'll not allow you to lower the upper portion of the tailgate if there is a hitch in the receiver. Hopefully that'll prevent people from denting their tailgate.

Curt Mfg makes a plug n play kit for this. My dealership gave me one with my '21 3500 AT4.

Installed the sensor last night. It works great. I even tried to trick it by opening the tailgate part way. This is a very good improvement if you don't want the "DENT".

Everything included for a shade over $100.

I went with this Curt adjustable hitch and am very happy with it. It seems very heavy duty with the solid shaft and offers a lot of adjustment.

I use the rapid hitch because I frequently have to swap between 2 different ball sizes, and I like that it's aluminum so it won't rust.
