Towing mirrors

Anyone change out the stock mirrors for a set of towing mirrors? If so, did you find any plug and go or did you have to modify the wiring?

Hopefully someone will answer. I made the switch to towing mirrors on my 2015 and I had to re configure the door wiring harness. Both sets of mirrors had all the same features but different plug arrangement. Crazy.

I did an aftermarket switch a few years ago. while it was plug-and-play, I wasn't all that happy with them.

Whose aftermarket mirrors did you try?

I have the OEM ones I added to my at4x after the fact as they are not offered in the build as of yet. Am I happy with what I have currently yes but I am still waiting on whiteautomeadia to crack the gm software to be able to fix my cameras and hopefully add the clearance and turn signal like gm would with the factory through a bcm flash. Hopefully this happens in the near future

What aftermarket towing mirrors did you use? I'm looking to switch my mirrors to towing mirrors. The mirrors from Boost Auto are a bit pricey.

There is another thread on this subject that has more, but as Denalibq stated, OEM will mount up but there will be lots of features not working and so far GM has not helped at all with troubleshooting. Mine had the HD camera system but came with the little car mirrors, even though I order trailer mirrors, and the trailer mirrors I installed are also from a truck that had the HD camera system. Not sure why they will not function correctly. I had switched mirrors many times in the past with absolutely no issues. Sad.
