What do you guys recommend to use in that unique bumper on the AEV?

Most have used rubber covered shackles from Amazon; you may want to follow their example, they look pretty.
With a 12.5k lb winch installed and adjacent fog lamps in the bumper, I went with larger 6T shackles, also purchased from Amazon for possible use in a recovery situation, in addition to soft shackles. Unlike others, I don’t leave them on.

I use these or you can just use soft shackles.
There you go; these are the pretty looking ones I was talking about.
I bought the Rhino one’s off an Amazon link I got on this website. Very happy with them. Perfect fit! I’ll never use them strictly for looks on my truck. Pic is not great I didn’t want to move the car and truck still had the cover on it except to add these.

I use these Reno ones off amazon. I have them on my jeep as well as my AT4x HD (I don’t have the AEV but I have shackle hooks on my bumper insert). I like them because they require an Allen wrench to remove the pin which reduces theft. I have had the standard shackles stolen off my rigs in parking lots. Someone could still steal these but they would have to have their right size Allen wrench in their pocket, but better then just reaching down and turning the pin and walking away with $40 shackles. These are anodized aluminum so not painted or power coated which also tends to fade. I use soft shackle to connect my winch hook to my bumper shackles.

I tightened mine a little more than required so they’ll need a crescent wrench, a screwdriver or pliers. Mine are for show anyway so no need to have them just finger tight. I rarely drive this truck and when I do I’m usually within eye shot of where it’s parked.

AEV 1" Anchor Shackles
As silly as I am, as part of my recovery gear, I purchased 4 X 7/8" Anchor Shackles Forged Carbon Steel w/Alloy Screw Pin Load Limit # 6.50 Tons (13,000 lbs) which I store below rear seat storage, plus a variety of recovery gear to use with the front mounted winch. Pics below and they work perfect with my Factor 55 Hitch Link too. I'm about as green as they come in recovery expertise, I'll figure it out when the time comes

Those are nice. I have the hitch link as well. Might want to consider the locking hitch pin, that part is a lot more expensive than the shackles are. I use the Bolt locks. Learns the key inside your key fob the first time you turn it. Don’t have to cary extra keys around. I use that on my B&W 3 ball stow and go as well. Also use their padlock for my locking cables I use to secure the kayaks and bikes. I have a trailer type locking hitch pin however don't use it since I keep all accessories in rear under seat storage. My bike rack has its own locking pin and locking cables.
This is me when I cruise these threads...
