I'm looking to get back into cycling and was wanting some input on which in-bed bike rack would work best with our trucks?
I'm looking at a Trek FX6 Carbon - which is a hybrid bike.

Here is my wish list:
1. I do not want to have to remove it when I am not transporting my bike. I currently have a soft bed cover installed.
2. I would want the bike to be able to stand up in the back of the bed.
3. I don't mind if the tailgate has to remain open during transport.
4. I would like if I am able to lock the bike for semi security but not a must have.

The only one I have found that fits so far is Ride88? Looking to see if anyone else has any input...

I just got a 2x6 the width of the bed and fit it in the tracks already cut in the bed wall. Then mounted the fork mounts to it and threw my bike in the back. Paracord the board to the d rings in the bed to secure it.

Can you provide a photo?

Mine isn’t in bed but above bed. I went with this setup because we tow a travel trailer. It allows me to easily take the bikes and then have a safe place for gear in the bed. Paragon bed cover, summit racks that create the ‘rain gutter’ for the Thule uprights to attach to then load bars with 1up bike racks

I have a roll up bed cover. Not the nicest but for the $ it works. If I’m going a long distance I tie it down to a bed hook. Short distances, just mount the bike. It’s never shifted at all.

So I finished building the bike rack and it works very well. It does everything I want. I even got it to wedge in the corner of the truck bed...so don't have to strap it in for short transports to the trail. My existing bike is the perfect length of the bed so when I shut the tailgate it puts just enough pressure to hold the bike in the rack. I'm hoping the new hybrid is the exact same length.

Final step: finish painting it black. Will post final pictures later this week....If anyone would like the exact measurements, lmk

There's a company called Pipeline Racks that makes great in-bed rack systems. They even offer an adapter kit for hauling Fatbikes
