Hey folks! 22 1500 AT4 and getting some work done to it.

ReadyLift +2
Black Rhino Arsenal 20x9.5 0

ReadyLift says the biggest tire you can fit is 305/55, but I wanted to see if anyone has experience with 295/60. Nitto Ridge Grappler is the tire of choice.

I’d like bigger sidewall vs wider, but I don’t want to deal with rubbing. I’m removing mudflaps.

Any info is appreciated. Thank you!

A lot will depend on your wheel offset. I had 305/55 on my 2020 AT4, which had a 1.5" front level. But the wheels were negative 24 offset. I had to do some trimming, but even trimming I had a little rubbing on full lock, and even moreso if going up or down inclines while turning. Mostly it would rub a little when backing out and turning almost full lock. It wasn't terrible and I lived with it.

I now have a 2023 AT4X. It also has the RC 1.5" front level. I have negative 18 wheels and 205/60/20 Nitto RG's. There is rubbing. I have done trimming. I have taken out the block behind splash guard. Since it is an AT4X, it has the "mud flaps" on the rear of each wheel well. I have trimmed those so they don't rub. I still have a tiny amount of rub in certain situations however. It isn't enough to concern me, but I do plan on doing a bit more trimming or small mods to alleviate the last of the rubbing.

I do wish GMC didn't have such boxy wheel wells. It would alleviate a lot of these issues if they designed the lower portions of their wheel wells even an inch less boxy/close to the wheel. But that isn't the case. Anyway, that is my experience given the tire size you mentioned. If you went with a zero offset wheel you may not have to trim much. But I personally like some wheel poke, so I went (as usual) with a negative offset wheel. Good luck!

Thank you!

The wheel is a 0 offset with right around 5mm backspace.

I’m running the ridge grapplers 295/60R20 on the stock wheels looks awesome imo.

Do you think a 305 65 18 would fit with 2” level and 0mm?
