Iā€™ve been waiting on pictures of that color! I have been entertaining the idea of a new truck, but Iā€™m between a ā€œfastā€ truck with the 6.2 or going 2500 gasser. Silver is first choice, but that color looks good!

You arenā€™t wrong šŸ˜‚. Any time my wife and I describe this color, itā€™s always ā€œcementā€ or ā€œwet cementā€.

Toyota actually uses ā€˜cementā€™ as a paint color that is similar. I like it though!

My buddy calls these new color trends "wet cement", and now I can't unsee that.
I see it.

The first ones I saw a couple of years ago, I thought the factory forgot the color and just sprayed clear over primer!

Actual sample colors from my dealer
You would think that there would only be ONE GMC thunderstorm gray color per year, but the truck pics were are seeing aren't as dark as the thunderstorm paint chip.

Yeah. At this point in time I am just going to wait until my truck is delivered. Even actual pictures online may make it look different. They always say pictures never do cars justice. I still have the paint chip and if I put it up to the actual truck and itā€™s lighterā€¦ā€¦. Iā€™m gonna need an explanation from my dealer. And to be honest, I may not accept the order and place another for a sterling.

Yea I changed mine this morning to titanium rush due to the fact that pics were are seeing aren't like the chip or the truck simulations that I have found. I wanted that darker gray color like the chip. Probably have time to change again if something new in pics come up because will be a while before its built. GM will likely strike on Sept 14th dealer says and however long they strike double that time for them to catch back up. And actually, they are shut this week I heard until Sept 5th due to parts shortages.

Oh wow! Didnā€™t know about the strike. Thanks for the heads up. I was told about 3 months before delivery once I ordered. I havenā€™t been keeping up with time frames lately.

Found an assembly pic that looks like the Thunderstorm Gray pics we've been seeing, I suppose it could be sterling but it looks pretty light gray.

(update: GM Fort Wayne plant will be down an additional week through September 8th due to an unspecified supply constraint. The Indiana plant was originally scheduled to be idled the week of August 28th due to a parts shortage, and was set to resume production on Tuesday, September 5th following the Labor Day Holiday. Now, however, this no longer appears to be the case. Resuming production set for Sept 11th.) Alot of the AT4 window sticker I've seen are from Indy plant.
