I just got another replacement 2024 AT4. Exact same specs. Cost me $2500 to swap it out. One issue fixed ( Dash Rattle) but I still have this other issue on the new truck,(Cell Phone static crackling noise issue when on a call blue tooth connected to the truck). It's a static crackling noise when the connected party talks. It happens on multiple phones ans now on two brand new AT4s. I can't be the only one having this issue. It's like the other persons voice is over driving the AT4 circuitry and causing the static crackling noise on certain words. Dealer put in a ticket to GM tech support as they have no clue and cant fix it either. So frustrating now on two brand new trucks. Anyone have a clue? It happens with my Samsung Android S23 Ultra and on my wifes new Apple phone.

That sure was a expensive fix for you, to get the rattle repaired!

Keep us posted on the static issue. You surely aren't the only one that use Bluetooth for phone calls. How small of an area have you stayed in? Just wondering if'n you went to a neighboring town, would you have the same static issue? Weird it's happened in 2 trucks.

Yes expensive rattle repair. My choice to not have them rip apart a dash on a $73k truck.... With the cell talking noise, lots of Chevy 2024 Sierras have the exact issue I experienced in two trucks now. I attached someone post next. Please read. I think it's a software issue that GM will have to address. My noise is identical to these people happening on 1500 Silverados.

I get the exact same crackling noise. Here I thought it might be a speaker issue.

Hoping it's just software. We all need to keep this page informed with what the resolution is from from GM. My dealer has a call into GM support.

Are you using Apple car play or just Bluetooth? If so try turning Apple car play off and see what happens. That would at least narrow it down some. Mine works fine both ways with my 2024 sierra at4.

Same noise in my 2024 AT4 3500. It started happening right after they updated my head unit software to Y172. I brought my truck in for a different issue and mentioned the noise to the dealer and they said someone who came in right before me had the exact same noise start right after the update. The noise is only present during Bluetooth phone calls (either in Android Auto or normal Bluetooth calls), with nothing during music or any other audio.

i wonder if that update is what created it.

I use Apple CarPlay and dont have that issue.
I recently upgrade my phone from a iPhone 13 to the iPhone 16 and the only issue I had was that on the 2nd drive, Car Play wouldnt connect until i restarted the engine

Problem occurs with Apple 14 plus phone. Problem occurs with Android Samsung S24 Ultra. Dealer called me today and said GM support line said they have an issue and they are aware of it and working to resolve. Hopefully soon they will have a fix.
It does not matter, Blue tooth only, Apple Car play, Android Auto, this all produces the crackling problem.

It's an issue an GM is aware of this problem the dealer said today. Hopefully a fix soon and hoping its only a software update that resolves this. Please keep all of us with this crackling issue informed as what the fix is. Its so annoying. Thank you!

I have an 24 Sierra SLT, not AT4, and I noticed the same issue on mine the day I made my first phone call with about 180 miles on it. Happens only when the person on the other end of the phone is talking, and appears it doesn't matter if it is a cell phone or landline. Monitoring to see if anyone knows about a fix.

Please complain to the dealer. The more if us that complain, maybe GMC will come out with a fix.

Have NOT seen a fix from GMC yet. Keep this site updated if anyone knows the fix. Thanks
