Hey guys, the top inner lining on my tailgate is getting scratched when I load my fishing kayak on/off the truck. Getting scraped pretty bad and looks like little chunks of the liner and getting worn off. Any ideas how I can better protect against this?

You might try some spray on bed liner but it may or may not stick so try a dab or to to test, otherwise just buy a piece of rubber matt or heavy vinyl to throw under the kayak to prevent the damage.

Looking at your picture, I would suggest you buy a piece of rubber matt the size of the tailgate to prevent further damage. You could probably find the matt at a store that provides products to the horse owners (stall matt). If not close by try a carpet place to find some vinyl runner that you can trim to fit.
I haven't used any of the spray on/roll on bed liners but you can find them at your local auto parts store or on line. The damage to the plastic on top of the tailgate would probably require replacement?
