I recently picked up my 2022 1500 AT4. The first mod is a leveling kit and throwing in 17” wheels with 35x12.5x17 tires. I know this will throw off my speedometer readings. Has anyone used here used a Speedometer Calibration tool to recalibrate their speedometer? If so, what brand do you recommend?

Secondly, does anyone know if this would void any of my warranty on the truck?

@Cocoabean - I know your post is fairly old, but did you find a speedo calibrator?

Tim

I found some options online but decided not to use them after talking to the dealership and finding out the warranty would be voided if I reflashed for the speedometer.
Did you ask if dealership can recalibrate that for you ?

I did ask, they advise GM locked them out of that option about 10 years ago.

So no calibration update for me.
I can confirm this as well. The service manager at the dealership I go to said the same thing. On another note...the folks at Hypertech are working on a calibrator for our trucks. Just not sure when they will be rolling it out.

Again, I was told this would void the warranty so user beware.

I guess that depends on where you go for warranty work. My dealership service manager actually recommended the Hypertech to me a while back. I asked him about voiding the warranty and he told me that as long as the device did not cause the "issue", then they would continue to honor any warranty claim. YMMV.

Nice! I wish mine would do the same. I was told if there is any issue with the engine, transmission or ECM they it would be voided as the calibrator would reflash the ECM and the GM engineers would see that the truck isn't running on the stock mapping.

Yeah...it is expensive! Looks like they only offer it for Jeep's and Ram's, however.
