Recently changed out my factory Duratracs (285/65/R18) for a set of Maxxis Razr A/T's (295/70/R18). Went from 32.1" tire height to 34.3" tire height. At 70mph on the speedo, it will clock at 74.8 mph. Searched all over for a speedometer calibrator and there just isn't one made...yet...for a 2022+ Sierra 1500 AT4X. I initially bought the inline calibrator from Hypertech, because the tech/sales person swore up and down it would work (sent me an email stating that as well). I've used Hypertech before and they are always reliable. Not this time. Just so everyone is clear...the new 2022 GMC Sierra 1500's that are "refreshed" do not meet compatibility with Hypertechs claim that the speedo calibrator will work with, and I quote, "new style" truck (their words).
Found out the hard way when I went to install the calibrator. The CANBUS is completely different, therefore, all of the plugs are different. Called and spoke to a senior technician (who was very apologetic), he told me that Hypertech is working on a solution for our trucks. No timeline, however.
Stay tuned!
