I had a question about tapping into existing OEM speaker wires. To give you some background: I have a 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 with the optional BOSE system and BOSE Amplifier (behind the rear seat). I am adding an aftermarket amplifier with 2 x10" subwoofers under the rear seats as the back area needs some bass.
So to start, I am using a 2-channel Speaker Wire to RCA Line-Out Converter to tap into the existing OEM speaker wires, as I have seen many others do in YouTube videos. Yes, I have seen those Bose Amp Y-adapters too, but the RCA Line-out converter is way cheaper. Anyway, Based on others I am tapping into the existing front right speaker wire under the plastic panel in the front right area. From what I have watched on Youtube many times people tap into the (+) YELLOW and (-) YELLOW/Black speaker wire that goes to the front right speaker. I had some questions on this after reading more stuff and reading about the BOSE amplifier wiring on the 3 different wiring Harness connections.
From my understanding, of what I have read online, is that at the BOSE Amplifier level, the rear speakers seem to be more detuned or quieter than the front speakers. Is that true?
I see everyone tapping into the front right speaker wire but made me wonder why they are doing only this particular speaker wire. I ask this as if I only want to go to an aftermarket new Amplifier plus it will only be used for 2 extra 10" subwoofers, then can I use the Center Console Subwoofer wires (+) Blue/GRAY and (-) Green/Black instead of the right front speaker wire? I am curious if there is some restriction from the BOSE amplifier between the Center Console Subwoofer and the right front speaker. Also, even if there was a restriction on the Center Console Subwoofer then wouldn't that be fine or would it be too restricted for my new 2 x 10" subwoofers? I just want to tap into the appropriate speaker wire.

I went with the right front speaker wires you mentioned for the GM-Kicker sub and amp combo. I have all the appropriate dip switches on the amp set for max bass and use a remote bass controller. I'm very pleased with the sound it produces.
I just recently had the backseat rear cushion off for something else. With the Bose amp right there, I would consider taping wires there if I was doing another upgrade.
But l still think the GM-Kicker system is very under rated. I've done about a dozen system installs over the years.
