This S/B effects the GMC and Chevrolet 2024-2025 2500HD and 3500HD with the RPO Z6A Gooseneck/ 5th Wheel
Prep package.
I am curious if anyone effected by this S/B has gone to the dealer and had their Gooseneck / 5th wheel hitch checked and what was the outcome if found to be out of specifications?
In addition, does anyone know what those dimensions are that are used to check for this condition. Thank you.

Not sure if I am affected, but I have the factory prep and use a B&W hitch with no issues so far. 2025 3500 AT4

WELL F**K!! this could be problematic, since I am supposed to be trading in my TT for a 5th wheel this weekend.

Now my mind is racing.. How do I even check, go to the camper dealership and see if they will take a hitch out and check? go to the gmc dealer first and have them measure? The SB says check spect due to weld... Does that mean they have to break the welds and weld it again?!?!?! WTF?!?!?!?

Have you installed your 5th wheel hitch yet?
I have not. I am buying it this weekend with the new 5th wheel the camper dealership was installing and setting up for the camper. not that it matters but I am installing a pullrite superglide.

OK, please let us know how the installation of the hitch goes and if there happens to be any issues installing it.

Quote the TSB # to you service manager over the phone and ask. 1. If they can measure or 2. Do the they have a hitch to drop in and test.

They will not cut and reweld. I'm sure the procedure is to remove bed and replace with new.

Guess there is a 3rd option, that you stated, you have to buy a 5th wheel hitch one way or the other. Install it early and see if it locks in. That way you have a couple of days early to have it replaced if it fails.

Good to know, do you know the production date of your 2024? My 3500 was produced in June 2024 and am hoping I don’t have that issue.
