Going from the stock Goodyear 275/65/18 to RidgeGrappler 285/70/18 today. This is the nicest riding truck I have ever owned and I am hoping not to change that. Can anyone chime in with their experience with the ride quality of these tires that may have made this same move? I realize I am going from a C load range to an E and that is what has me worried. Thank you.

It's going to change, but it's not terrible. I just swapped to 275/70-18 Toyo Trail Rt's and I can tell a little difference. The payoff is the look so I can live with it!

I had to ditch the tires that came on my to go with a 275/70/18 E rated for the terrain I was driving on. I can tell a difference in the ride, but with the stock tires that came on the truck ( I have the 3.0 diesel) to the 33" E rated, I lost a solid 3 miles per gallon on interstate driving. I can live with the ride, but now that I don't use it for work, I am looking at getting a C rated tire in the 275/70/18 (33.2") and they only make a couple. Goodyear Wrangler MT in a C rating and a couple of General tires. :(

I haven’t noticed that bad of a mileage loss. Local is definitely the same vs stock.

Update: After a few weeks with the new tires I can say that the ride did change. As mentioned it isn‘t horrible but it is different. It is stiffer and I have noticed some lag (not much) in acceleration. They look a hell of a lot better to me and I know that they are a much higher quality of tire so overall I am happy with the purchase. Especially before winter. They also don‘t hold and kick the rocks up like the GY’s did. Maybe some day they will make a larger tire like this in a C rating but for now it will work.
