A while back this post about reverse tilt mirrors not retuning to drivers preset position posted:

I did not keep up with the responses , but it is likely that this "problem" was never solved. It appears to me that the software controlling the mirrors behavior s set to return the mirrors to what ever the preprogrammed "factory normal" position is; pretty obvious, but . . . .
And this is where I have not kept up, it turns out that if you sit in reverse for a bit ( about 30 seconds , in reverse gear , without moving, the mirrors rest themselves to the Drivers "normal setting" ; at that point if you shut down the mirrors will be in the position you set and expect.
Sorry if this is old news but it was a revelation to me.
